"I am a new creation, I have been born again" - LeelandIt is one thing to serve a God who has created me. It's a completely different concept to come to the realization the God has reborn me. Though I am a sinful creature, I have found new life in Jesus Christ. The old me is dead. THANK YOU GOD! Not surprisingly, that old me was a hardened taco shell filled with Grade D beef. It was so easy to do the wrong things, to say the worst words, to see the pictures my mother would be furious to know that I have seen, and yet I did it all without a sliver of regret or guilt. But like I said, that was the old me.
I AM NEW! Reflecting on who I used to be, I am grateful to be reborn again. In Christ, I am made NEW! What a great feeling, to have all my sins washed away! I AM a NEW creation! Death has no power over those made new again. Satan can try his bag of tricks all he wants to. Unfortunately for him, being a new creation means that you get the privilege of overturning Satan's own tricks against him.
Standing in the midst of God's love. That is where I want to be forever. I want to be where God is. I used to be on the outside looking in. Kind of weird, considering I was technically always "in" the church building, but being in consistent intimacy with God has brought my life to a new level. I see things differently now. What was colorless and bland is now blindingly beautiful and radiant! God has created me again, and this time, I can pick up my cross. I know that this life is not going to be easy, especially the path that I am choosing. But I know that new creations are also who God uses to progress the story of the history of everything. This world will try everything it has to stop me...
Bring it on, world. Bring it on.
