Sunset

Can you hear the sound of crashing waves?
The sand on the shore, like thousands of pearls
Glistening in the amber color of the sun

The geese fly in landing peacefully
Ripples casting water to and fro
Bending the reflection of the November sky

As the sun sets low
You will find me here
Waiting on the shore
These shades of red
Run through my head
Oh please, Sun, please don't set

Can you see the glory of God's beauty?
It's marked by the warm colors of the sky
Transitioning into a canvas of stars

The sun is perching atop the horizon
The cool evening air make me wish you were here by my side
If only the sun would never set again

As the sun sets low
You will find me here
Waiting on the shore
These shades of blue
Bid day adieu
Oh please, Sun, please don't set

So many things to say
To many thoughts in the way
Waiting on the shore
Just to let it out

To scream and shout
Oh please, Sun, please don't set
On me
On me
Oh please, Sun, please don't set
On me.
On me

(Sunset Reprise)
Cause if there is just one little thought that I'd like to share
It would be how much this life would compare
If you hadn't walked into my life at all
I think the Sun would fall, I think the Sun would fall

Cause if there is just one little thought that I'd like to share
It would be how much this life would compare
If you hadn't walked into my life at all
I think the Sun would fall, I think the Sun would fall
